July – Celebrating Care, Inclusion and Wellbeing

July is an important month across the care sector, providing an opportunity to recognise the dedication of care professionals, celebrate disabled people and raise awareness of emotional and neurological wellbeing.

This includes:

Good Care Month – recognising the compassion, dedication and valuable contribution of care workers who support people to live safely, comfortably and with dignity.

Disability Pride Month – celebrating disabled people, challenging negative attitudes and promoting equality, accessibility, independence and person-centred support.

World Brain Day – raising awareness of brain health and neurological conditions, while highlighting the importance of early support, understanding and access to appropriate care.

Samaritans Awareness Day – reminding us of the importance of listening, meaningful conversations and ensuring that people feel able to speak openly when they are struggling.

At Collinson Cares, we remain committed to providing compassionate, inclusive and person-centred care, while recognising the dedication of our staff and the individuality of every person we support.

At Collinson Cares (2021) Ltd, we are committed to delivering care that is not only safe and effective, but also understanding, compassionate, and tailored to each individual.

We take pride in recognising these important awareness campaigns and ensuring our care reflects the unique needs, experiences, and dignity of every person we support.

Developing Dedicated Care Teams

At Collinson Cares, we are continually developing our services so that individuals and families receive care from staff who understand their specific needs.

We are establishing dedicated teams across key areas of care, including:

Palliative and End-of-Life Care
Our compassionate palliative care team supports individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own home. We work closely with families, community nurses, GPs, hospices and other healthcare professionals to provide responsive care focused on dignity, comfort, choice and reassurance.

Dementia Care
Our dementia care team understands that every person’s experience of dementia is different. We provide calm, consistent and person-centred support that promotes familiarity, independence, emotional wellbeing and meaningful daily routines.

Parkinson’s Care
Our Parkinson’s care team is developing enhanced knowledge and experience in supporting individuals with mobility changes, medication routines, swallowing difficulties, communication needs and fluctuating symptoms. We recognise the importance of providing care at the person’s own pace while promoting safety, dignity and independence.

More Than a Care Visit

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our care is built around the individual, their routines, their preferences and the people who are important to them.

By developing dedicated teams, investing in staff training and working closely with healthcare professionals, we aim to provide a higher level of continuity, understanding and confidence for the individuals and families who place their trust in us.

Whether someone requires short-term support, ongoing home care, complex care or compassionate support at the end of life, Collinson Cares is committed to being there when it matters most.
